SOUNDTEC™ WALL FORMS COMPANY OVERVIEW

When the management of AFTEC entered the concrete wall forming market in the late 1990s, precast wall panels were still being horizontally cast with a molded texture on one side only, leaving an undesirable, plain appearance on the non-textured side of the wall. In 1999, AFTEC developed their first concrete forming system which vertically cast concrete wall panels with decorative stone texture on both sides of the wall. The efficient design of the AFTEC Forming Systems has made AFTEC stand out as the leading designer and producer of precast forming systems in the concrete fence industry throughout the world.

AFTEC developed the SoundTec™ Wall Form when UDOT (Utah Department of Transportation) changed their precast concrete noise barrier specification from stacking panels to a monolithic full panel design. The SoundTec™ Wall Form provides manufacturers the ability to vertically produce monolithically cast panels with formed texture on both sides of the wall panel. AFTEC designed the SoundTec™ Forming System to maximize production efficiency by providing the ability to vertically cast multiple panels in varying heights, thicknesses, designs and textures in a single casting. Since the panels are vertically cast, they can be demolded significantly sooner than a horizontally cast panel.

The SoundTec™ Wall Forming System is designed and built to be versatile; accommodating the requirements of most any DOT specified sound wall design.  AFTEC continues to improve its forming system products, and are expanding their focus to include efficient panel construction systems for building walls, affordable housing walls, parking structure spandrels, headwalls and a variety of other applications.
